PUBLIC SAFETY
Public safety is the foundation of a strong and thriving Ventura. Every resident deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood, parks, schools, and business districts. As a City Council member, I will prioritize investments that keep our community secure while preserving the quality of life that makes Ventura such a special place to live.
This means supporting our police officers, firefighters, and emergency responders with the resources, training, and technology they need to respond effectively to emergencies. It also means pursuing balanced solutions that address homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance abuse through partnerships that improve public safety and community well-being.

I am committed to maintaining safe streets, strengthening disaster preparedness, improving traffic and pedestrian safety, and ensuring that Ventura remains resilient in the face of wildfires, earthquakes, and other emergencies. Public safety is not just about responding to problems; it is about proactive leadership, community engagement, and creating an environment where families, seniors, businesses, and visitors can thrive.
My commitment is simple: to keep Ventura safe, prepared, and welcoming for everyone, today and for future generations.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
A strong economy is the foundation of a vibrant and sustainable Ventura. Economic development is not just about creating jobs. It is about enhancing quality of life, supporting local businesses, generating the revenue needed to maintain city services, and creating opportunities for residents of all ages and income levels.
As a City Council member, I will champion policies that help local businesses grow, attract high-quality employers, and encourage investment in our commercial corridors, downtown, harbor, and industrial areas. Ventura should be a place where entrepreneurs can start a business, innovative companies can expand, and young professionals can build careers without having to leave our community.
I believe Ventura must leverage its unique assets, including our coastal location, talented workforce, educational institutions, healthcare sector, advanced manufacturing base, agricultural heritage, and growing technology and innovation economy. By streamlining permitting processes, investing in infrastructure, supporting small businesses, and fostering public-private partnerships, we can create a more resilient and diversified economy.
Economic development also plays a critical role in addressing many of our community's challenges. A stronger tax base helps fund public safety, parks, libraries, road maintenance, and other essential services without placing a greater burden on homeowners. It also supports the development of workforce housing and creates opportunities for future generations.
Ventura's future depends on thoughtful leadership that embraces innovation while protecting the character and values that make our city special. I am committed to building an economy that works for everyone, strengthens our neighborhoods, and ensures Ventura remains a prosperous and desirable place to live, work, and raise a family.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Infrastructure is the backbone of a strong, safe, and prosperous Ventura. The roads we drive on, the water we depend on, the parks we enjoy, and the public facilities that serve our community all play a critical role in our quality of life and our local economy.
As a City Council member, I will make infrastructure investment a top priority. Maintaining and modernizing our streets, sidewalks, storm drains, water and wastewater systems, public buildings, and transportation networks is essential to protecting public health, supporting economic growth, and preparing Ventura for the future.
For too long, communities across California have deferred infrastructure investments, resulting in higher costs and greater challenges down the road. Ventura must take a proactive approach by planning responsibly, pursuing state and federal funding opportunities, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are invested wisely in projects that deliver long-term value for residents.
I am committed to improving traffic flow, enhancing pedestrian and bicycle safety, strengthening our water reliability, upgrading aging facilities, and increasing the resilience of our infrastructure to withstand effects of climate change, wildfires, earthquakes, flooding, and other natural disasters. These investments not only improve daily life for residents but also help attract businesses, create jobs, and preserve property values.
Infrastructure is not simply about repairing what is broken. It is about building a stronger future. By making practical investments today, we can ensure that Ventura remains a safe, resilient, and vibrant community for generations to come.
